Transfer ownership

Ownership can be transferred at both levels — the whole organization, or a single workspace.

Transfer organization ownership

The Org Owner is the single person with full control of the account, plan, and every workspace. To hand that off:

1. Go to Settings → Organization → Members & roles.
2. Find the member who should become the new owner and choose Transfer.
3. Confirm. They become the Org Owner, and there is still exactly one Org Owner afterward.

The new owner must already be a member of the organization.

Transfer a workspace

A Workspace Owner can hand a single workspace to another admin without affecting the rest of the organization:

1. Open the workspace and go to Settings → Workspace → General → Danger zone.
2. Choose Transfer ownership and pick an existing admin of that workspace.
3. Confirm. You remain an admin of the workspace after transferring.

Transferring a workspace changes only that workspace — organization billing, the plan, and every other workspace are untouched.

Ownership actions are confirmed with an “Are you sure?” prompt because they change who has final control. They take effect immediately once confirmed.
