Delete Monitor
Remove a ping monitor you no longer need — and what happens to its data and incidents.
Deleting a ping monitor stops all its checks and alerts and removes it from your dashboard and any status pages it appears on.
Delete a monitor
- From Monitors, open the ping monitor you want to remove.
- Open its Settings, then choose Delete.
- Confirm — deletion is permanent.
What happens
- The monitor stops pinging immediately and no longer sends alerts.
- It’s removed from any status page components that referenced it.
- Its history and incidents — including latency and packet-loss data — are removed with it. Export or note anything you need first.
Consider pausing instead
Deletion can’t be undone. To stop a monitor temporarily — a host that’s down for maintenance or being migrated — pause it instead. Pausing keeps the monitor and its full history and lets you resume with one click. See Edit Monitor.
