Delete Monitor
Remove a heartbeat monitor you no longer need — and what happens to its ping URL and history.
Deleting a heartbeat monitor stops it expecting pings, and its ping URL stops working.
Delete a monitor
- From Monitors, open the heartbeat monitor you want to remove.
- Open its Settings, then choose Delete.
- Confirm — deletion is permanent.
What happens
- The monitor stops expecting beats and no longer sends alerts.
- Its ping URL is retired — any request your job makes to it afterward has no effect. Remove the
curlcall from your job. - It’s removed from any status page components that referenced it.
- Its history and incidents — the run log — are removed with it. Export or note anything you need first.
Consider pausing instead
Deletion can’t be undone, and it invalidates the ping URL. If a job is only paused temporarily, pause the monitor instead — Spectra stops expecting beats (no false “missed” alerts) but keeps the URL and history, so you can resume without editing your job. See Edit Monitor.
