Delete Monitor

Deleting an API monitor stops all its checks and alerts and removes it from your dashboard and any status pages it appears on.

Delete a monitor

1. From Monitors, open the API monitor you want to remove.
2. Open its Settings, then choose Delete.
3. Confirm — deletion is permanent.

What happens

• The monitor stops checking immediately and no longer sends alerts.
• It’s removed from any status page components that referenced it.
• Its history and incidents are removed with it. Export or note anything you need first.
• Stored credentials (tokens, API keys) for the monitor are deleted.

Consider pausing instead

Deletion can’t be undone. To stop a monitor temporarily — a deprecated endpoint, a staging service, or troubleshooting — pause it instead. Pausing keeps the monitor and its full history and lets you resume with one click. See Edit Monitor.
